Action for Happiness, The Change Space
Vanessa is a Board member of Action for Happiness (AfH), the leading UK-based not-for-profit that focuses on proactively building skills for psychological wellbeing and resilience and heads its work with organisations. She writes, speaks, designs, facilitates and curates interventions to enable development, shape culture and help people to both feel good and function well and has worked with a wide range of organisations around the world.
Her passion is using the latest science to help people get the most out of life and that includes work! She also works with organisations to create the conditions to bring the best out of their people for the long term. With a background in leadership, talent and organisation development (and a distant past as an accountant- shhh), she is one of a small group people globally to have completed a Masters degree in Applied Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, studying under Martin Seligman and with many of the other leaders in this field.
She is the architect of the 10 Keys for Happier Living, which have engaged and inspired people around the world to take action for themselves and others and have been used in many ways, in schools, universities, local communities and workplaces. Her book of the same title was published in March this year.
Company Profile: Action for Happiness is a social movement whose aim is to build psychological wellbeing for ourselves and others and so a flourishing society by helping people, organisations and policy makers apply the latest findings from scientific research.
